Thesis and Dissertation Binding Service

To Have a Thesis Bound

Bring the following to the Library Administrative Offices (2060 HBLL Phone: 801-422-2905):

• One copy of your thesis for every copy you want bound -Example: If you are ordering 6 copies, you must bring 6 copies
  • Each copy must be in a separate manila envelope (we have extra envelopes in our office if you need them)
  • We are not involved in the specifications for margins, fonts, types of paper, etc. Please direct questions concerning these guidelines to your department or the graduate studies website.
• An extra copy of the title page and abstract (This can be on any type of paper.)
• Your completed 8D form
  • Ask your department or graduate studies for a blank form
  • Personal copies are sent to the address on this form
  • Department Approval: You MUST have BOTH signatures
• Payment by check, exact cash (we don’t have change), credit or debit card
  • Make checks payable to BYU

  • We are not involved in the specifications for margins, fonts, types of paper, etc. Please direct questions concerning these guidelines to your department or the graduate studies website.

• Payment by check, exact cash (we don’t have change), credit or debit card
  • Make checks payable to BYU

Thesis and Dissertation Fees

• $15 per copy (four copies are required by graduate studies, you may make as many additional personal copies as you need)
• $55 microfilming fee for all dissertations
• $45 optional copyright fee, available only for dissertations
• Fee required to be mailed outside of the U.S.:
  $20 extra for air mail per copy
  $6 extra for surface mail per copy
• CD covers or pockets can be inserted for $3 per copy
