Copyright 101 Tutorial
This online tutorial is designed to assist faculty, staff, and students learn about the rights of a copyright owner and the legal exemptions that exist for educators, such as fair use. The tutorial was developed in three interactive modules and includes short videos, reference materials, case studies and a game.
Professors and instructors are encouraged to have their students complete the tutorial as part of their coursework. The tutorial can be completed in one sitting or in modules in about two hours. Once the tutorial is completed, an e-certificate can be generated and emailed directly to the professor or instructor. If the tutorial is taken with no course affiliation, a print copy of the certificate may be picked-up at the Copyright Licensing Office.
