Need more help finding an article?

  1. From the Library Home Page, select Find Articles.
  2. To find articles by subject, select a subject by clicking on the down arrow and scrolling through the subjects listed. Click on the appropriate subject.
Note: A subject librarian has created a subject page with links to databases and lists of other resources to help in your research. Read through the list of databases (a description is available by clicking on info icon the to the right of the database title) to select the database most appropriate to your research topic. Be sure to look beyond the "Recommended" databases. The other databases and print resources may include information that more specifically addresses your topic.
  3. From the subject page, you can find articles by doing a multiple-database search or you can search an individual database.
    1. To perform a multiple-database search, enter your search terms in the box and the computer will search all the databases with a check in the box to the left of the database name. Only databases with the check will be included in the multiple-database search. You can vary the number of databases in the search by adding or removing the check from the boxes.
    2. Click on the search command. A Search in Progress indicator will let you know that your search is working. A "scoreboard" will appear indicating which databases are returning results and a list of articles from the databases will be listed below.
    3. Read the results and click on the View Details link of those articles that seem to match your needs. The link will take you into the database containing the reference to the article.
    4. If you wish to search just a single database listed on the subject page, click on that database name and you will be taken into the database where you can perform your specific search.
