In addition to the input and content management tools, INDI Core also includes a contextual help tool that is available throughout the system. This includes two types of help content: guidelines for using the INDI tools, and content guidelines for entering archival information.

Tool based help is available in each INDI component from the top menu. Typical entries describe application functionality or interface components.

In addition, content instructions are available contextually using information icons located next to the various input fields.Users needing instructions for filling out a particular field can click on the icon by the field, and the help pops up with the appropriate page opened.
