MyProjects
MyProjects is a powerful project management tool specifically designed to meet the needs of the archival workflow. It features a Dashboard for tracking recent processing activity and deadlines for processing projects, a Discussion tab that facilitates and stores conversations about specific projects between curators, a Tasks tab that walks curators through the various steps necessary to accession and then arrange and describe a collection, and a Files tab that allows curators to manage any files (contracts, correspondence, etc.) associated with a processing project.
The Tasks tab is the backbone of MyProjects. Each archival task (accessioning, arrangement and description, workflows, etc.) is broken into specific steps that have to be completed before the next step can occur. The Tasks tab features simple to complete forms as well as the ability to directly accession communication about the project and files associated with the project. It also features Help on how to formulate the content that goes in the various boxes of each form.
