RSS
RSS (known in its various formats as “Rich Site Summary” or “Really Simple Syndication”) is an XML syndication format that allows users to monitor changing Web content. An RSS-enabled site will generate an XML document listing newly published items, which is continually updated by the site itself. After subscribing to this RSS “feed”, users can use an RSS aggregator to receive notifications content updates.
RSS and INDI
INDI is able to generate RSS feeds based on saved My Projects save search criteria, allowing curators to monitor processing activity on selected collections. In order to set up the feed, the curator would simply run a search on a call number, creator name, or other term. After saving the search by clicking on the star icon, they are then able to click on the RSS icon to subscribe to the feed.
