A new resource is available to all students and faculty in the College of Nursing: Micromedex Healthcare Series, hosted by Thomson Healthcare. Micromedex includes a number of clinical knowledge solutions that offer a reliable, one-stop, easy-to-use resource for pinpointing clinical answers. It’s strengths are in drug information and evidence-based care information.

Micromedex is listed in the “Online Encyclopedias and Reference Sources” section on the Nursing Subject Page. To access the databases, you must have a username and password. Please contact Betsy or the Science Reference Desk for the login information.

The library has recently received the 2nd edition of Mosby’s Guide to Nursing Diagnosis. The book includes two sections, a guide to nursing diagnosis and a guide to planning care based on NANDA-I approved diagnoses. Find it in the library at RT 48.6 .L33x 2008.
