Census Bureau Economic Information - Includes the County Business Patterns, the Economic Census, Enteprise Statistics and many other wonderful sources.
County Business Patterns - This annual series includes a separate report for each State. The divisions of the economy covered are agricultural services, forestry, and fisheries; mining; contract construction; manufacturing; transportation and other public utilities; wholesale trade; retail trade; finance, insurance, and real estate; and services.
Consumer Price Indexes (CPI) --"A measure of the average change over time in the prices paid by urban consumers for a market basket of consumer goods and services."

Economic Indicators.gov provides timely access to the daily releases of key economic indicators from the Bureau of Economic Analysis and the U.S. Census Bureau.
Enterprise Statistics - The data was collected in the Economic Censuses. Includes consolidated company data (sales, employment, payroll, form of organization and enterprise industry classification), supplementary data for large companies (inventories, assets, fringe benefits, capital and research and development (R&D) expenditures, and depreciation) and data for auxiliaries (sales, employment and payroll, billings, inventories, capital and R&D expenditures, and selected purchased services).
Forbes - Journal - Includes statistics such as "the
200 best small companies", "the 500 largest private companies"
or "400 richest people in
Fortune - Journal - Includes the Global 500, company reputation ranking, Industry snapshots, the median return on assets for the Fortune 500 companies, and much more. Available through ABI/INFORM (ProQuest)or Business Source Premier (EBSCO)
Utah Labor Market Report/Annual Report of Labor Market Information -- Utah Department of Workforce Services Labor Market Information and Research
Producer Price Indexes (PPI) -- Contains indexes that measure the average change over time in selling prices received by domestic producers of goods and services.
U.S. Import and Export Price Indexes -- Monthly prices from 1993-2005.
Characteristics of
Business Owners (CBO) provides the only national data
available for comparing selected economic, demographic, and sociological
characteristics among minority, women, nonminority male, and all business
owners and their businesses.
Nonemployer
Statistics summarizes the number
of establishments and sales or receipts of businesses without paid employees
that are subject to federal income tax. Most nonemployers are self-employed
individuals operating very small unincorporated businesses, which may or may
not be the owner's principal source of income.
The Survey of Business
Owners and Self-Employed Persons (SBO) provides unique information about
the characteristics of American business owners and their business activities.
It is a sample survey taken every 5 years as part of the economic census. The SBO
publications combine survey and census data, and provide statistics that
describe the composition of
Statistics of US Businesses (SUSB) - Includes key economic data such companies establishments statistics, employment
and annual payroll.
Annual Capital
Expenditures (ACES) provides detailed and
timely information on capital investment in new and used structures and
equipment by nonfarm businesses. The survey is based on a sample of
approximately 46,000 companies with employees and approximately 15,000
companies without employees.
Business
Expenses Survey (BES) - To provide periodic national estimates
on operating expenses for merchant wholesale, retail trade, and selected
service industries.
Information and
Communication Technology Survey (ICT) - collects
investment figures related to technology falling below a company's
capitalization threshold. This survey is sent to a sample of approximately
46,000 private non-farm employer businesses operating in the
